Jonathan’s work is focused on three predominant areas:
- Tableware
- Vases and decorative urns
- Ceramic artworks (the “Art Series”)
Most ranges are ongoing, with some spanning more than thirty years of production, and with hundreds of items to choose from it means that pieces can be replaced or collected gradually over time.
TABLEWARE
Elegant and timeless, this unique tableware adds grace and warmth to everyday living as well as special occasions.
Jonathan creates ranges of tableware in different shape, colour and pattern combinations, around a thousand items in total. Additionally, items can be made to order.
Jonathan Hook tableware is durable stoneware that is safe for use in dishwashers, microwaves and ovens.

VASES & DECORATIVE URNS
Jonathan’s vase series translates ancient urns and vessels into a contemporary context. Drawing inspiration from the classic forms and structures found in European and Asian ceramic practices throughout history, these new interpretations can be either decorative or functional and look amazing grouped together in ensembles of different shapes and forms.
Each shape comes in nine different sizes and a range of colours.

ART SERIES
Hovea
The Hovea series centres on a stylised form of the native Australian pea flower (Papilionaceae) to represent the Great Southern landscape. With around five hundred species occurring in Western Australia alone, ranging from creepers to shrubs and herbs, it stands out as a classic floral motif of the Australian bush and is representative of the changing landscape as you traverse this state.
Fish
The Fish series (also known as Reflections) is an interpretive geological imprint based on fossil remains found in the area between the Stirling and Porongorup Ranges, also known as Woogenullup. The fish represent the ego or mind floating ethereally above a structure, which is a jetty or point of departure.
